“This has not been a race to remember.”
Yeah, I think Crofty summed it up pretty well.

Most of my excitement came from trying to figure out what was REALLY happening on track when the commentators were misidentifying cars and passes left and right.

The only thing that could make F1 exciting would be incorporating Ultras into the Tifosi.

I thought Spain was was the most boring, but this is right up there and what makes it depressing for an F1 fan is I thought this one was going to be exciting. Everyone knows how Spain usually is, but this was a surprise.

For exciting racing, it’s going to be MotoGP for sure.
F1 is going to be the Hamilton record train until the end of 2021. Given Mercedes’ car advantage, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve found a great concept for the 2022 rule change. Even if they can extract more out of the current-gen car, is there really much need.
Some good midfield battles don’t make up for the fact that many people really want to see battles at the front or for podium places.

F2 and F3 are more interesting at this point.

This was the final corner in today's World Rallycross race

I’ d be fine watching midfield battles if I could see them on screen. Did a lot of watching the leaderboard this race though.

That’s more like it.
Rallycross is fun even though I don’t follow it like F1/MotoGP. Every now and then I’ll see highlights or even full races come up in my YT recommendations and I’ll have a fun time watching.

Yeah they should be worried, Italian military deployed to encircle the circuit.

They were kinda off today weren’t they.

They actually live stream the entire event every round on YouTube, though it's region blocked if there's a TV broadcast deal in your country (easy to get around with a VPN. I'm getting caught up on today's action right now

They seemed to cover the midfield pretty well today. Much more than some races.

Nice pic, yeah, cars are very reliable these days (used to be common for a third of the grid to drop out in the race) pit stops are reliable. The best team/driver seems destined to win and mostly does. Verstappen seems to be the only one with the power to occasionally brake the chain.

100% agree

There were two races: the race between 1-3, and the race between everybody else. Nice to see Ricciardo and Ocon score the 1-2 in P 4 and P 5. Albon was a little bit closer to where he should be, and a nice finish for Lando. But I knew we were in for a long day when Bottas got the radio call that said, “We agreed not to fight each other.” Really? I hope Merc is paying Valtteri buckets of money, because it’s clear that Merc is happy with the 1-2 and happy to let Lewis always be 1.

“break” not “brake”. Yes most every race seems to be two races, the two Mercedes, Max and everybody else. The field behind is competitive with good drivers-I posted earlier this year, stick Hamilton with Max on Red Bull and Lando with Bottas on Mercedes-now that would be a fun season

One of my high schoolers has developed an interest in F1, to the point that he always asks about FP and qualifying, and will leave his computer games to watch the race with me. I just wish the racing were better.

Man, you do not want to be at Ferrari when they are not quick! I feel for them, the whole of Italy comes down on you.
